About Kathryn Wallace
At The Oakwood Collaborative, I am excited to fulfill my counseling practicum in order to obtain my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. Once I graduate, I plan to use my LPC and LMFT licensures to work with individuals, couples, families, and children. I grew up living all over the United States, giving me diverse experiences and exposure to a variety of cultures. With Jeremy Dew as my coach and supervisor, I will use the knowledge and skills I have learned from my education and past experiences while continuing to grow as a counseling professional.
As a counselor, I take a person-centered approach with my clients. My goal is to provide a safe environment promoting trust and understanding. I believe that everyone has their own story and comes into therapy with their own life experiences. My mission is to understand your story while we work together to identify your strengths and achieve your goals. My hope is for my clients to increase their sense of self and to grow throughout the therapeutic process.
