About Kathryn Wallace
I believe that everyone comes to therapy with their own stories and experiences, and no one knows those stories better that you. Together we will discus the struggles you are facing and the goals for growth. I will provide a safe environment where my clients can feel comfortable as they discuss their difficulties and strengths. As a marriage and family therapist associate under the supervisor of Cynthia R. Carter, M.S., LPC-S, LMFT-S, I believe that relationships have a strong influence in our lives. The loss of such relationship, or the loss of anything in our life, can have a great impact on us. But no matter what hardships you are facing, you are not alone.
When working with individuals I will listen and empathically understand the struggles that you are facing. We will work together to form goals and create new meaning. When working with children I often use play and humor as means of connection. I collaborate with the parents to gain a better understanding on what the child is going through. With families I recognize that everyone has their own needs and their own voice. I collaborate with everyone involved, so we all feel understood. For all of my clients I will meet them where they are, and we will work together through the therapeutic process.
