About Leslie Casarez
I believe that each individual has their own unique journey in life and incorporates this in each session. I provide support and guidance to navigate during important and difficult life transitions. I partner with clients and their families to build trust in order to truly assess their needs and work together towards a solution to the problem at hand.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have experience working with individuals, families and couples who have struggled with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, and substance abuse. I have a passion for working with those that have experienced pregnancy and infant loss as well as infertility. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), empowerment, strength-based, mindfulness, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapy.
My early career started in non-profit organizations and school systems where I worked with families and their children in at-risk communities in the Houston area. After pursing my master’s degree, I began working for a hospital system in the Houston area where I was able to utilize solution-focused techniques, grief therapy and family therapy for patients as part of the hospital psychiatry team.
