About Luis Ponte
People seek out counseling for a variety of different reasons, but oftentimes it occurs after they have been unable to find resolution to their challenges and struggles. As a counselor my aim is to provide a space that allows you to self-explore and gain greater understanding of your thoughts, values, and emotions so that you may gain insight into how we can best tackle these challenges. Depending on your goals for personal growth and change this may lead us into deep conversations regarding your past relationships, experiences, and traumas or it may not. I believe you have the autonomy to decide what type of support you are needing, what you want your experience in counseling to be like, and what kind of healing you are seeking. Regardless, of how exploratory or solution-focused our work is, my goal is to assist you in developing meaning and making progress towards those aspects of your life which are most important to you. It is through this process that we will work together on helping you achieve your goals, attaining the changes you envision, and becoming the person you want to be.
