About Elizabeth Eaton
I am a native of North Carolina, but have made Central Texas home for the past decade and relocated with my family to the BCS area in 2016. Since graduating from Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas in 2008, I’ve focused my clinical work with adults, ranging from young adults to those at the end-of-life along with their caregivers.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Supervisor through the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners. I have six years of post-graduate clinical counseling experience and have supervised both BSW and MSW field placement students, as well as LMSW licensees. My clinical theoretical orientation is integrative, utilizing a Person-Centered framework informed by attachment theory, relational-cultural theory and interpersonal process. My areas of interest include developmental transitions across the lifespan, identity development, family of origin concerns, healthy relationships, aging and end-of-life, and grief/ loss. A social worker by training, I see people through a strengths-based lens, respecting their inherent dignity and worth. I also acknowledge the influence of environment on functioning, and social justice is a core value of my work as a clinician and supervisor.
