About Sanjhi Gandhi
I believe that a client’s self-awareness is key to developing self-direction and independence. I want to empower my clients to be the best version of themselves, while holding a safe space for them to feel heard. In counseling I will be actively involved in working with you, providing information, psychoeducation, guidance, and support. I’ve learned there are many paths to finding peace of mind. Therefore, I use an eclectic approach when working with clients. I also use cognitive therapy and mindfulness techniques to help clients become aware of their thoughts, feelings and experiences.
My approach will provide you with methods to solve problems utilizing your own strengths. It will be goal-oriented and a hands-on practical approach to problem-solving. Even when counseling with an individual client, I may attempt to incorporate the entire family when appropriate and possible. Occasionally, and with your consent, I may use other approaches, such as (sand tray, mindfulness practice, expressive arts, etc.) to help facilitate your progress in counseling. I believe counseling is collaborative process working to improve your overall life satisfaction
I am committed to providing you with a safe and caring environment in which we can address your concerns. It is a priority of mine that you feel understood, connected, and engaged in the therapeutic process and involved in making therapy an effective and productive experience.
Feel free to reach out if you have more questions about my approach before making a decision about counseling.
