Group Counseling at Oakwood Roots
Group counseling is a unique experience that gives you space to explore issues with a few other participants and a facilitating clinician in a safe, confidential space. We regularly offer a variety of groups for different populations, and these groups can be used as a supplement to individual counseling, or as a lower cost alternative to individual counseling.
Adult DBT Skills Group
This group is specifically intended for adults who are interested in gaining knowledge of coping skills in order to manage emotions, tolerate distress, communicate more effectively with others and become more present in your own life. Click on the logo to learn more about this group!
Adoptive Parents Support Group
This group is a chance to band together parents/guardians who have adopted (recently or not so recently) in the community, with the purpose of growing skills and supporting one another through the tumultuous task of adoptive parenting.

Join us in a safe space to talk about and share your experience as part of the LGBTQ+ community. Topics will include, but not be limited to gender identity, sexuality, coming out, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, spirituality, and current issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community.
