Founded by The Oakwood Collaborative in September 2018, Oakwood Roots provides affordable counseling to the community of the Brazos Valley. Oakwood Roots hires and trains empathic and exceptional counselors who are completing their graduate studies, or have already completed graduate studies in Texas.

We offer counseling services with sliding scale spots available so that cost is not the thing keeping you from the support you need.

Play Therapy

Often most fitting for children between 3-12, play therapy might be a good fit for the needs of your child, and we have clinicians that are trained and supervised in work with this modality.

Our Office

Our new office is located at 4189 State Hwy 6 South, off Carroll Fancher Way (just north of Costco & Christ Church). The Extraco Bank building is just to your left as you turn onto Fancher Way, and the entrance to our suite is directly in front of you as you enter the parking lot from Fancher.

Coffee and tea are available for you as you wait for your appointment, and there is a separate family waiting room as well. The office is ADA-accessible, and ADA parking is reserved in front of our entrance.
