My Philosophy
Robyn Douglas (she/her) is a fourth-year clinical doctoral graduate student at Texas A&M University. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Houston and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. She enjoys utilizing compassion-based therapy, healing arts, and liberation-oriented approaches to bolster prosocial behavior, community support, and social/cultural empowerment among her clients. She also explores protective/healing factors for youth exposed to community violence, grief, racial trauma, and neighborhood poverty. She is passionate about class-conscious and culturally informed mental health treatments and community-based healing practices for families from disinvested communities.
