My Philosophy
I am a doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology program at Texas A&M University with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate emotional challenges and lead more fulfilling lives. I draw upon evidence-based therapies to support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other related concerns. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique needs, whether that involves reshaping unhelpful thought patterns, strengthening relationships, or developing practical tools for managing stress. I have experience working with emerging adults and adults in both individual and group settings. I’ve had the privilege of leading therapy groups focused on emotional regulation and mindfulness, and I regularly conduct psychological assessments for concerns such as ADHD and learning difficulties, as well as personality, trauma, anxiety, and mood related-disorders.
Alongside my clinical work, I’m actively involved in research exploring how the brain and body respond to stress and emotion, using tools like electroencephalography (EEG) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Specifically, I study how biological and psychological factors, such as how we process threat or regulate intense emotions contribute to the development and persistence of anxiety, depression, and other internalizing conditions.
Before coming to Texas, I earned my Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts and worked at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts, where I supported research on youth mental health and internalizing disorders. I’m deeply committed to making mental health care accessible, grounded in science, and responsive to the unique experiences of each individual.
