Training/Working at Oakwood Counseling
As a training site, our goal is to offer our practicum/internship students and associates ongoing exposure to a diversity of cases, treatment modalities, and theoretical orientations. Our staff includes doctoral-level licensed psychologists and masters-level therapists (L.P.C.-S., L.P.C., L.M.F.T., and L.C.D.C). Training rotations are available in testing/assessment, play therapy, cognitive/behavioral therapy, marriage/family therapy, career counseling, and corporate training.

- available office space 1 day/week for Practicum students (Master’s level)
- available office space 2 days/week for Internship (Master’s level) and Advanced Practicum (Ph.D. level)

- monthly luncheons to touch base with other coworkers
- training in individual, group, couples, family, and play therapy
- training in psychological assessment
- Emotional intelligence training in corporate and K-12/post-secondary education settings
