A 6-week Parent Education/Support group is starting in January! It is open to all parents or guardians raising children from ages 0-5. Each group will be an hour and a half long. Each week will be themed, but time will be set aside for open discussion and brainstorming.
Each week the theme will include:
Week 1 – Greeting, getting to know you/me and orientation.
Week 2 – Establishing boundaries, rules, and expectations.
Week 3 –Parent, guardian/child relationships
Week 4 – Child appropriate development Milestones.
Week 5 – Co-parenting – with your spouse/partner/ex/family, etc.
Week 6 – Self-care
This group is a chance to band together parents/guardians (with child/children 0-5 years old) in the community who are looking to expand their knowledge on raising mentally healthy children, gain increased support from those who understand, and find other resources available to parents of young children.
There will also be coffee, tea and water available. No childcare will be provided, but reach out to Elizabeth Cox, clinician/facilitator to get connected with options for childcare near the office.
Cost: $15/week (cash), $85.00/6 weeks (cash or check) up front.
