My Philosophy
From a very young age, I knew I wanted to be a therapist. I find it deeply rewarding to help people make sense of themselves and navigate periods of change, uncertainty, and growth. I take an individualized, collaborative approach to therapy, drawing from humanistic, relational, trauma-informed, and evidence-based perspectives depending on what each person needs. Our work may involve building on existing strengths, developing greater self-understanding, recognizing patterns that no longer serve you, learning practical ways to cope with difficult emotions and circumstances, and creating meaningful changes in your life and relationships. Whatever work we choose, we’ll be in it together!
I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University in 2023, where my research focused on sensory processing sensitivity and neurodivergence. I have a particular interest in working with people who are impacted by trauma and neurodivergence, and those who have spent a long time feeling misunderstood or struggling to make sense of their experiences. I have worked with individuals across a wide range of clinical settings, including community mental health, crisis care, college counseling, correctional facilities, private practice, and Veterans Affairs.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner, family, and friends, reading, playing cozy games, gardening, doing puzzles, bullet journaling, painting my nails, and watching true crime, sci-fi, and scary media. I am also a firm believer in the importance of hydration, a good night’s sleep, and…all the coffee.
