Like most of us, my life has included navigating many challenging and rewarding experiences. They include growing up in a working-class immigrant family, being the first person in my family to attend college, working in the corporate world, living overseas and changing careers. It can sometimes feel overwhelming while we're in the middle of these challenges. Sometimes we need others -- family, friends and, at times, professionals -- to come alongside us and help us get through these challenges. I see my therapeutic role as coming alongside my clients to help them navigate the challenges they may be experiencing. I believe my diverse life experiences and professional training provide a unique lens to assist families going through life changes and struggles.
I have been a licensed professional counselor since 2016. I initially worked at a social and emotional school for three years, with a focus on early childhood development. My focus now includes older children and adolescents. I have chosen to focus on children/adolescents and their families because how well we navigate childhood/adolescence so often affects how we navigate adulthood. It is a critical period in life where we can establish the foundation on which the rest of our lives is built.
