The decision to embark on a counseling journey can be challenging. I will strive to develop a collaborative partnership with you in which you feel safe, accepted, understood, and in control of your therapy experience. I am here to assist you in reaching your goals through nonjudgmental support and facilitation. Cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused are the approaches with which I most align. Although I generally operate from these core theories, I remain flexible in integrating ideas from other approaches to best suit your needs. My background is in Health education. I taught at the junior high level for 17 years. During that time, many students came to me with personal issues. I always desired to be able to offer more than just a listening ear to help them. As a result, I decided to embark on the journey to become a counselor. While I cherish those years in the classroom, my heart led me to want to help people on a deeper and more individual level. It would be my privilege to walk with you on your path to healing.
